This Widget Embedding Licence (“Licence”) sets out the terms under which organisations may embed the Germwatch widget on their websites. By embedding or displaying the Germwatch widget, you agree to these terms.

Germwatch is operated by Pre Medical School Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom (Company No. 12828996).

1. Permission to Embed

Pre Medical School Ltd grants you a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, revocable licence to embed the Germwatch widget on your website for the purpose of providing public‑health information to your community.

This licence is granted to:

• Local authorities and councils
• GP practices and PCNs
• NHS organisations
• Schools, colleges, and universities
• Pharmacies
• Charities and community organisations
• Local news and public‑interest websites

No written contract is required to embed the widget.

2. Conditions of Use

You may embed the widget provided that:

• it is displayed in its original, unmodified form
• it loads the script directly from Germwatch’s official CDN
• it is used in a public‑interest, non‑commercial context
• it is not used in a misleading, harmful, or defamatory context
• it is not used to imply endorsement by Germwatch or Pre Medical School Ltd
• it links back to germwatch.co.uk when clicked

You must not:

• alter, modify, or reverse‑engineer the widget
• remove Germwatch branding
• use the widget for advertising or commercial promotion
• embed the widget on sites containing harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content

3. No Medical Advice

The Germwatch widget provides population‑level intelligence only.

It must not be presented as:

• medical advice
• diagnosis
• triage
• clinical guidance
• a substitute for professional healthcare

You agree not to describe the widget in a way that could mislead users into thinking it provides personalised medical information.

4. Data Protection

The widget:

• does not collect identifiable personal data
• does not use tracking or advertising cookies
• processes only anonymous, aggregated symptom information
• is hosted on secure servers located in Germany (EU/EEA)

Your organisation does not become a data controller or processor by embedding the widget.

No Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is required.

5. Availability and Accuracy

Germwatch is provided “as is”.

Pre Medical School Ltd does not guarantee:

• uninterrupted availability
• accuracy or completeness of data
• that trends reflect confirmed infections
• that the widget will remain unchanged

We may update, modify, or discontinue the widget at any time.

6. Revocation of Licence

Pre Medical School Ltd may revoke this licence at any time if:

• the widget is used in a misleading or harmful context
• the widget is modified or misrepresented
• the embedding organisation breaches these terms
• security or operational concerns arise

Upon revocation, you must remove the widget promptly.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in:

• the widget
• the code
• the design
• the branding
• the data

belong to Pre Medical School Ltd or its licensors.

Embedding the widget does not transfer any ownership rights.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Pre Medical School Ltd is not liable for any loss, harm, or decisions made based on widget data
• We are not responsible for reliance on heatmaps, trends, or symptom information
• We do not accept liability for technical issues, downtime, or inaccuracies

Your organisation uses the widget at its own risk.

9. Governing Law

This Licence is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
